2010 Oh! Orgasmic Nebbiolo – Naked Winery

This King of Piedmont, Italy classic grape done in a Northwest setting lends a nose of sweet perfume, red currant, toasted oak, mild spearmint and a hint of tar. Encompassed by moderate weight tannin and well calculated acidity, this hearty wine gifts fine tune offerings of cranberry, fresh herbs, tart cherry, truffles and spice upon the palate. Keep Drinking and Keep Believing.

2006 Seghesio Barbera Alexander Valley

Love Seghesio Wines and saw their 2006 Alexander Valley Barbera and was intrigued to see what California’s twist on this highly quaffable varietal indigenous to Piedmonte, Italy had to offer.

With an enticing, plum red hue and a concentrated bouquet of perfume, red currant, cassis, clay and smoke, this wine lends wholesome flavors of blackberry pie, red cherry and cranberry with a satisfying finish. Not as Earthy and lacking the deep pomegranate flavors that Barbara d’ Asti and Barbara d’ Alba have a tendency to lend, but nonetheless, this wine is very enjoyable and worthy of a try if you can hunt it down.  Keep Drinking and Keep Believing.
