Santa Barbara Shellfish Company

What an absolutely awesome time spending last week in Ventura and probably one of the highlights was having my dear friend Tiffiany taking me to Santa Barbara and visiting  the “Santa Barbara Shellfish Company” for lunch at the end of Sterns Wharf.

From the get go, I knew it was going to be a spectacular afternoon as Lady T and I were the first to enter Santa Barbara Shellfish Company’s  tiny but “Full of Life” space, being graced by “Led Zeppelin I”  pleasantly blaring and greated by Captain Diego; who is of Brazilian descent but talks like a Bostonian that lives to watch the Boston Red Sox and kick some wicked ass.

Such a positive energy Captain Diego exuded, making you smile from the  inside out as Captain D, sharing info about Santa Barbara Shellfish Company’s outstanding menu, his colorful Life and some of the local wines;  Nursing a frosty Anchor Steam at S.B.S.C’s Old School wooden bar, I decided to go with The New England Clam Chowder Sourdough bowl and Lady T the Crab legs.

Born and raised outside of Boston, I have to say that Santa Barbara Shellfish Company’s own special recipe New England Clam Chowder is some of the best chowder I have ever had and after a bite of  Lady T’s delectable Crab leg lunch laced with butter and a perfect amount of sweetness; it truly seals the deal that i am living a perfect moment and everyone that get’s to Santa Barbara, AKA Heaven on Earth,  must treat themselves and experience Santa Barbara Shellfish Company.

” We were here last night and are back again.”    Exclaims two patrons happily aimed Captain Diego’s way, as Lady T and I wave our farewell on our way out into the glorious day to explore things further.  Cheers

Smooth Sailing and Sunny California.

Beautiful weather here in Ventura, California and went thrifting and checking out some vintage, timeless commission shops downtown on Main St yesterday.  Great vibe, great diversity of people and the only thing that wasn’t perfect was the wine shop was closed.  😦      Cheers to all and hope everyone had an outstanding Memorial Day Weekend and please support Independent Music and download my new album “Greatest and Otherwise” at ITunes.

This is like a Benjamin Orr song gone extremely wrong, but quite the catchy little ditty and inspired the Moon Jelly Tracks on my new album ” Greatest and Otherwise.”   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDgS6qLsVM4&feature=share. Giddy up and ” Put the lotion in the basket. ”    🙂

Amsterdam Busking

Layden Robinson busked in Amsterdam in the Summer of 2006.  Many of Layden Robinson’s songs from his 4 albums were inspired by his time Busking in Amsterdam.   Amsterdam Busking was an awesome experience for Layden Robinson and made him a much better guitar player and Human Being!

Awesome New Music!

Salvador Dali and Coulrophobia

After several days exploring the wonderful city of Barcelona, my Attorney James ” Mick” Ingram and I decided to throw a curveball into the mix and take a train several hrs away to the city of Figueres; to try and fathom what we could of the Official and quite massive Salvador Dali Museum.

Such an amazing experience it was to be free and take in a new environment, facing all fears and apprehensions which seemed to dwindle away with every passing second; With my Attorney representing me the whole way, I was able to conquer one of my biggest hangups and fears for the very first time in my Life.

Side by side with what I once renowned as being ” The Ultimate Nefarious Being”, I was now able to overcome one of my deepest trepidation and become one with my past nemesis; ( Yes, Madness will always will ensue, but not necessarily for the worst.)

Onward we moved onward 2 blocks to one of the most Surreal places I have ever experienced, taking in a mastermind’s vision for the next 2 hrs, contemplating, perusing, being certain, being confused, feeling vulnerable, feeling like their are absolutely no boundaries in this Dreamscape/Life.  Love to all and please enjoy the Journey wherever it takes you.

An Example of True Friendship

This is one of my favorite pictures of all time and exudes the theme of ” True Friendship”.  To my left,  Mr. Fracois ” the Magician” Kendercork” and to my right, Attorney James ” Mick” Ingram; I am truly a blessed man.    🙂

Amsterdam, Blueberry, Jean Claude Van Damme and Al Jazeera

After spending several days in Amsterdam with my dear friends Attorney James ” Mick” Ingram and Fracois ” The Magician” Kendercork ; (  In the photo below alongside my bloated self.)  I decided after smoking copious amounts of “Blueberry” and booking a King size bed for three people, that it was time to move on to Brussels on a second class disease train and try to find the gone missing  Jean Claude Van Damme.   Quite the elusive fucker Van Damme is, especially with a head full of Angelic Cocaine and Belgian Chocolate running through his corrupt veins.  It is safe to say we were unsuccessful in our mission to find J.C.V.D, but we did stumble into a fanatical Muslim Al Jeezera infested Internet Cafe;  That was quite interesting!   Please subscribe if you dig the vibe.
