2009 Descendientes de Jose Palacios “Petalos del Bierzo” Bierzo

This full bodied Spanish red made from 100% Mencia  is refined and alluring, offering opulent flavors of cocoa, dark chocolate, hearty earth, lead and unsweetened plum. So many intriguing nuances that reminded me a little bit Petit Verdot, a little bit of Mourvedre and a little bit of Syrah;  One of the best Spanish wine I have ever had.  Keep Drinking and Keep Believing.
