2005 Chateau Soleil-Puisseguin Saint Emilion

Thick, dark plum hue lending a bouquet of violets, mild vanilla, limestone and heavy musk.   Really had high aspirations for this wine, but was dumbfounded and disappointed by how heavily oaked it was; I did enjoy the flavors of black currant complimented by remnants of tobacco and herbaceousness though.  Keep Drinking and Keep Believing.
