2006 Po de Poeira Douro Red

Happy Saturday to all and hope everyone is keeping warm!   Before two nights ago I had absolutely no reference for Portuguese red wines and I was extremely excited as well as terrified to try this wine from the Douro Portuguese wine region.  After about 15 minutes of aerating, I became overjoyed by the refinement and freshness of this wine from the luscious bouquet following all the way through the finish.  Filled with red berry and black cherry fruit that seemed to be touched by the hands of divinity, I was left speechless, utterly content, appreciative of every precious moment I had with this remarkable wine.  One of the most pleasantly surprising wines I have ever had and perhaps the most enjoyable and massive $20 bottle of wine I have ever consumed!  Compliments of Vinum Importing and Distributing.  http://www.vinumimporting.com     Keep Drinking and Keep Believing.
